Ignata Finance are working with an exciting, fast growing, forward thinking Fintech business who are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant on a temp to perm basis. They will also consider candidates on a months' notice who are looking to take the next step in their career.

The Fintech company are making a lot of noise in the UK market, adding some big brand names to their business. They have a great, inclusive culture including frequent team events.

The Role

The key responsibilities will include:

- Processing supplier invoices, reconciling bank statements and being the first point of contact for many internal and external partners
- Support of the month-end management accounts including month end journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and depreciation schedules
- Prepare cash flow forecasts
- Provide oversight and controls to supplier contract management
- Support corporate card and operating expense management
- Assist in year-end audit requirements
- In conjunction with the business own all Merchant payments and their reconciliation
- Contribute to the evolution & continuous improvement of finance processes & procedures
- Assist in P&L forecasting, reporting and analysis
- Support and lead ad-hoc projects

Your Profile

The successful candidate needs to meet the following requirements:

● Min. 2 years' experience in a similar role
● Experience in accounts payable/receivable
● Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills
● Process improvement/automation
● VAT law understanding
● Bachelor's degree
● Fintech Industry
● Financial planning and analysis experience
● Part Qualified Accountant, or desire to study towards an accounting qualification
● Prior experience using Xero

Salary & Benefits

£30,000 to £35,000 per annum plus benefits.
