There is lots going on around to world to mark this day including McDonald’s turning its sign upside down to make a W, demonstrations in capital cities to raise awareness and even a train strike in Spain in the name of equality. It’s also 100 years since the suffragettes won the vote for women in Britain and the year where the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements have made gender equality a mainstream issue.
There are many positives to celebrate from these movements including the fantastic achievements of some of the most influential women in the world such as Angela Merkel who is Forbes #1 most powerful woman in the world, Sheryl Sandberg who has taught many of us the importance of Leaning In* and Malala Yousafazi who despite being quite literally shot in the head, is now studying for her degree at Oxford. But there is more work to do and the gender pay reporting that is currently happening around the UK is a stark reminder of that.
We are pleased to say that the number of female leaders in Ignata has grown significantly in the last 18 months. Of course there are many fantastic people all over Ignata, but today we would like to take a moment to celebrate our senior women and the incredible way they inspire their teams and clients every day! Each one of these women has a significant impact on their businesses, their teams and their clients every single day.
